This Wednesday, as I am 3 days into my 9-day staycation, all I want is to go to our friend's family's lake house. It is absolutely gorgeous and serene, right on Lake Michigan (not that I actually swim in the lake; I find lakes gross). We are going the first weekend of August, I just wish we were going now. :)

This is the second year in a row we have gone during the summer; we also do a weekend in the winter (usually February or March). Last year, we went right about this time in July and the weather was perfect; we spent all day drinking sangria and margaritas, laying on the beach (with SPF of course) and eating mountains of delicious food.

This is the only picture that made it out of that weekend last summer: my husband (in the background, being a creep) and his best friend popping the champagne!
