I am a big fan of writing a letter or thank-you card instead of sending an e-mail. Picking out birthday cards, Valentine's Day cards, etc. is very exciting for me. Because I'm a nerd. One of the things I most looked forward to once I became a full-fledged "adult" was having my very own personalized stationary.
