Is it Christmas time already?!

As prepared as I try to be every year for the holidays (I am an admitted grinch), I always feel like they sneak up on me. The husband (B) put up half of our lights on the house when it was semi nice on Sunday (read: above 32 degrees) except we had two strands of icicle lights that weren't working; B did manage to fix them later in the evening, once it was too cold to go outside and hang them up.

We decided this year to invest in a new faux tree. Sadly we cannot have a real tree as I am severely allergic (well, I'm allergic to almost anything but that's another story). After doing some comparison shopping, we found our tree for a steal at Kmart...only $80 for a tree that normally retails for $160.

Little did I know that this particular tree had all individual branches that had to be hand fluffed before they were shoved into the tree...trunk.

Nevertheless, the tree is decorated, the gifts are wrapped, and I'm glad that part of Christmas can be checked off my to-do list.
