you don't do it on purpose, but you make me shake

Happy November! We had our Halloween party on Saturday. Everything went okay I guess, but we won't be having parties for a while. Too expensive and time-consuming. I'm very glad that the next two months we are going to other peoples' houses for parties. Thanksgiving is my favorite because we go to my parents, then his mom's, then usually his aunt's. Lots of fun and family and laughter. Oh, and drinking! Yesterday morning, Beau and Renee were the only ones who hung around in the morning (well and Bryan, but he was hung over as all hell) so I made cheesy eggs and pumpkin pancakes! They actually turned out really well. I used a teaspoon and a half of these pumpkin pie spices from the Spice House that I got from the Haunted Food Tour Renee and I took on Friday night. The pancakes smelled SO delicious and tasted good, too, which is shocking if you know how terrible of a cook I am. :) My goal for this Thanksgiving is to successfully make a pumpkin pie! Last year, I read the recipe my mom gave me incorrectly and put 1 tablespoon of the spices in instead of 1 teaspoon. So it smelled really good, but didn't taste very good.
Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be able to work on the bedroom. I picked out the color I'm going to paint the walls. a kind of blueish gray color. Very light, very neutral. Still on the hunt for a dresser; I'm considering taking the long dresser from my old bedroom at my parents house and painting it. I just want our bedroom to be somewhere that we can go to relax and chill out at the end of the day.
I still have to go through all the wedding pictures and pick out the ones I want to order. Lots of loose ends I need to tie up in the next few weeks before the holidays.
